Chow Chow Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Jack was severely abused before coming to ROMP as evidenced by a fully healed broken back and shyness with strangers. Jack is around two years old, is a great medium size and has perfect house manners - no destruction, potty trained, naps when no one's home. Jack is an energetic young man and is fascinated by birds, squirrels, and cats. He needs a secure yard, a loving guardian and a couch to call his own. Jack has worked with an excellent trainer - he has obedience manners, just needs gentle reminders to use them. Please contact us if you are interested in adopting Jack. Thanks!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Chow Chow in Oregon
Chow Chow Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The Chow Chow is a big furry breed whose name literally means Puffy Lion Dog. Chow Chows are loyal companion animals but can sometimes be stubborn, obstinate, and overprotective against strangers. Chow chows need to be handled by a firm master. Chow chows can be aggressive with other pets but most are good with kids. Chow chows can live in an apartment and are equally good as inside or outside dogs. Daily walks help stave off behavior problems, although Chow Chows can be resistant to exercise.
