Scooby-Doo It is with a heavy heart that I need to re-home Scooby-Doo. We found him abandoned as a puppy 2 1/2 years ago. He is a Shepard/Chow mix and almost 3 years old. He is kennel and pillow trained. He is also neutered, up on all his shots and weighs 75 lbs. He is very inquisitive and loving. He likes to lean up against the back of your legs in as much as to say, 'I got your back!' With the chow in him , unfortunately, he has killed a cat and chicken. He would do great in town with a fenced yard and possibly with no other animals, not on a little hobby farm here. He enjoys sleeping with my daughter at times. I have health ... This is Macey (1 yr old), my wife bought her for our kids but now we are unable to take care of her. Macey needs a family that able to give her time and attention. Macey needs more potty training. Kiley is a handsome 8 year old Jindo/Chow mix (we think!). One of our volunteers mentioned: 'Kiley is the friendliest Jindo I've ever met. He's an 8 year old, neutered male who apparently didn't get the memo that Jindos are aloof and independent. He's eager, loved being brushed, he met everyone who walked past the 'Meet and Greet' area with a wagging tail. He was brought in as a stray but clearly, this sweet dog has shared some of this life with a human.' The dark streaks under his eyes come from not having the fur under his eyes wiped clean but can be cleaned up with a little attention. He weighs about 50lbs, and is generally in very ... (Read More)good condition - he could even stand to lose a pound or two! He travels very nicely in a car, quiet and well behaved, but still interested in the goings on outside. He appears to get along with other dogs and all people too. We don't know yet how he gets on with cats or other small critters though. So far, all our volunteers have said what a great boy this is! Chow Chow Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. The Chow Chow is a big furry breed whose name literally means Puffy Lion Dog. Chow Chows are loyal companion animals but can sometimes be stubborn, obstinate, and overprotective against strangers. Chow chows need to be handled by a firm master. Chow chows can be aggressive with other pets but most are good with kids. Chow chows can live in an apartment and are equally good as inside or outside dogs. Daily walks help stave off behavior problems, although Chow Chows can be resistant to exercise.
