Rescue Me ID: 15-07-09-00088Jazmine (female)

Chow Chow Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We got Jazmine a year and a half ago from the shelter. She was very shy and quite. She did not bark for the first three days. Jazmine is a very sweet, loving dog who likes to walk and just be in your close vicinity. She is very generous with her affections but she can also be protective when she feels that you are in danger or when you are not introduced by someone she knows. She is very low-maintenance in terms of needing attention, although her fur could be a little bit of work. She will sit and lay down beside you while you are working in your computer. She will sleep beside your bed on the floor at night. She will wait for you ... (Read More)outside the bathroom door. Jazmine is satisfied just with little attention and company. She is allowed on one furniture in the house and that is the couch. She will not go anywhere else. She understands the following orders: -Sit -Up -Go She might, however, need help getting in the car. Depends how high your car is. From time to time, she can jump up high enough to get inside in just one go. (Very rarely though) She enjoys her fur being brushed, bathed, and groomed in general. She does NOT LIKE having her nails clipped and her teeth brushed. She is fine with children, provided you give proper introduction with the child and the child does not do anything to irritate her. She is good with calm kids. Also, preferable if they can walk on their own. She is very gentle when it comes to her snacks and accepting anything with her mouth. She has NEVER had an accident with us and neither has she ever chewed or destroyed any of our property. Due to her age she gets tired real easy. But she is still a puppy at heart. I need someone to take care of my sweet baby for me. I am in the military and I can't take her to our move to Hawaii because of the high costs and the difficulty of finding an affordable place that allows dogs, especially ones her size. Please don't let her go back to the shelter again. (Less)
