Rescue Me ID: 15-06-24-00489Gunner (male)
Gunner is a chow lab mix who needs a new home ASAP. He was adopted at 4 months old and is now almost 2 years old. He is high energy and needs daily walks and a fenced yard to run. He loves fetch. He is great with kids and other dogs. He gets nervous around trucks and when strangers come over. He has nipped a few people and has been evaluated by two professional trainers. He is no threat to my 1 year old, but his anxiety with people coming into his yard is why we must rehome him. He walks on leash, knows basic commands, is microchipped and up to date in everything.

Rescue Me ID: 15-06-23-00346Bear (male)
Bear is a good dog. He is very energetic and loves to run and play. However, he is living in the city and has limited space to run. He has become somewhat of an escape artist and is able to climb our small 4 foot wooden fence. Because of this, he has to be on his chain when outside. We would like for him to go to a home that has the space for him to run or a full privacy fenced in yard. Bear does well with other dogs (his best friends are a pit bull and a chiweenie mix). He also does well around adults and we have never had any problems with him around our 3 year old. He gets skiddish and has anxiety during thunderstorms and fireworks. He has lived with my grandmother in the city his entire life. He was given to her as a gift from her son who purchased him from a breeder in Wisconsin. He is purebread but we no longer have the papers. Due to health issues with my grandmother, she is no longer able to take care of Bear. We are looking to place him in a loving home. We just want him to get the attention that he deserves. If you have any additional questions or would like to know more about Bear Bear please feel free to contact me. The adoption fee is negotiable. |Animal ID: 1028Rocky (female)|
We would like to welcome the newest member of Wild Dog Rescue, Rocky, a 9 year old male Chow Chow. After a lonely life of living outdoors, Rocky was surrendered to a local shelter because his family was moving and would not be taking him with. As a victim of circumstance and no fault of his own, this handsome guy is now left searching for a loving place to call home. A home where he will not be left outside, alone and exposed to the elements and predators. But a home where he will be loved and cared for, a place he comfortably rest his aging body at night. Maybe that place is with you?! Rocky is good with most other dogs and does not mind cats. He will do best in a home with no small children but older children may be fine for him. Please help us find this guy the retirement home he deserves! Wild Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies on donations for the continued care of the animals. The rescue is located at 2525 Blue Star Highway Fennville, MI 49408. An application must be complete prior to scheduling a visit with our adoptable animals. Applications can be found on our website at www.mosseyhollow.com. This allows us to ensure a good fit for both the animal and your family. Please remember that all visits are by appointment only. For further information or to schedule a visit with one of our adoptable dogs, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (269)205-3646. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-08-00337Leo (male)
Leo is about 75 to 80 lbs. Enjoys outside instead being locked away by himself. He barks at speeding cars. He is spoiled. Loves to just be around people. He gets very anxious around loud noise (thunder, fireworks, fire trucks). Has not had alot of contact with small children or cats. No table food (It makes him throw up). Likes walks and car rides. Hates baths. Good for someone who is retired and is home alot. 55 pound of dog food last him a month. I will supply the first month of food and health record.

Animal ID: 0112Cricket (male)
Fosters Bio:Cricket is 70 lbs and a real sweet boy! When Cricket came to me he was a bit timid and shy from all the change. Almost overnight he became an exuberant, happy dog! He LOVES to go outside and in the car but is calm otherwise. Might not be suitable around toddlers since he does jump up when excited (we're working on this). He likes my husband! He seems to be a smart dog and pays attention to everything. He's settling in great and I'm sure he will be a great addition to any family. Chow Chow Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Chow Chow is a big furry breed whose name literally means Puffy Lion Dog. Chow Chows are loyal companion animals but can sometimes be stubborn, obstinate, and overprotective against strangers. Chow chows need to be handled by a firm master. Chow chows can be aggressive with other pets but most are good with kids. Chow chows can live in an apartment and are equally good as inside or outside dogs. Daily walks help stave off behavior problems, although Chow Chows can be resistant to exercise.
